Katie Schorn

Katie Schorn is the co-founder and served as President and Chief Operating Officer of PHM Hospitality, Inc., a Premier Hotel Sales and Marketing Consulting Company to the hospitality industry. PHM Hospitality, Inc. was formed in 2005 and primarily through Katie’s vision and direction has represented over 100 hotel owners and management companies and completed over 12,000 successful consulting assignments. PHM Hospitality is widely regarded as the best solution in the hospitality industry for driving incremental revenue to branded and especially independent hotels that have revenue challenges. Recently, PHM Hospitality Inc. merged with PHM Management Inc., creating the premier hotel consulting company focusing not only on sales and marketing but also operational consulting and asset management, which is where she currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to serving as President and COO of PHM Management, Katie served as the senior asset manager of the Asset Managed division of Wyndham International. In her capacity as senior asset manager for Wyndham owned assets, she was directly responsible for the asset management of a portfolio in excess of 1.5 billion dollars that included all the following brands: Wyndham, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Radisson, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Sheraton and various independent hotels. In that capacity Katie worked directly with hotel executive committees, hotel management companies and major brands to maximize performance of the Wyndham owned assets.

In addition, Katie headed up the Performance Hospitality Management (PHM) national sales team which was a unique national hotel multi-branded sales and marketing team responsible for generating significant incremental income for all PHM portfolio hotels. PHM was a multi branded asset management and direct management hotel operating company within Wyndham International. Many of these professional sales team members are currently on the PHM Management sales team that Katie currently heads up today. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.







Michael Grossman
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Grossman has over 35 years of professional experience in leading both direct and asset management companies specializing in multi-branded and independent hotel management. Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of PHM Hospitality, Inc., a Premier Hotel Consulting Company to the hospitality industry. PHM Hospitality was founded in 2005 and has represented over 100 hotel owners and management companies and completed over 12,000 successful consulting assignments. PHM Hospitality is widely regarded as the best solution in the hospitality industry for driving incremental revenue to branded and especially independent hotels that have revenue challenges. Recently, PHM Hospitality Inc. merged with PHM Management Inc., creating the premier hotel consulting company focusing not only on sales and marketing but also operational consulting and asset management, which is where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to serving as Chief Executive Officer of PHM Management, Michael served as the EVP Asset Management for Wyndham International where he was responsible for overseeing the operations of all Wyndham-owned assets. In that capacity he was directly responsible for the operations of a hotel portfolio with annual revenues in excess of over $1.5 billion including major corporate hotels, world-class golf and leisure resorts and Golden Door Spas. Under Grossman’s leadership, this portfolio increased its overall GOP margin from 35% to 36.8% during the final year of its operation before being sold to Blackstone which resulted in an EBITDA increase of approximately $30 million on an annual basis. He was also the Senior Officer in charge of hotel capital budgets in excess of $100 million on an annual basis with the ultimate responsibility to assure ownership that all capital expenditures had an acceptable return on investment.

At Wyndham, Michael also served as President and COO of Performance Hospitality Management (PHM) a multi branded asset management and direct management hotel operating company. The PHM portfolio included all national brands including Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Sheraton, IHC, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Radisson, as well as multiple independent hotels. At its peak, the PHM portfolio included 130 hotels with annual revenues well over $1 billion and EBITDA in excess of $270 million.

He also led a unique national hotel multi-branded sales and marketing team responsible for generating significant incremental income for all PHM portfolio hotels. PHM consistently outperformed its competitive set on an annual basis in both REVPAR growth and operating margin efficiency regardless of hotel type or brand.

Prior to his position at Wyndham International, Michael was COO of Gencom American Hospitality, one of the nation’s most successful owner/operator multi-branded Hotel Companies. He has also served as Senior VP of Patriot American responsible for all hotel operations of one of the largest real estate investment trust in the country. Michael was an officer of Patriot American and related entities, Gencom and Wyndham International, from 1993 until the company was sold in 2005.

Prior to joining Patriot American, Michael owned and operated his own multi-branded Hotel Company, which enables Michael to bring a unique “ownership” perspective to any hotel sales or operational management assignment.
